Hi everyone
I am sitting in the computer lab Of Trinity college which is in Palos Heights just outside of Chicago. There are a lot of highways in this area and a lot of traffic. We had to pay tolls in order to use them. We had a great time this past weekend in Madison. Crossroads CRC treated us like kings. Rose and I and some other bikers got a tour of some wetlands by a world famous naturalist Cal Dewitt. It was interesting.
We finally got to see Dordt college in Iowa. It was cool to be there and now I can relate to some of my neices and nephews when they talk about Dordt. I borrowed some goalie gear from the college and got to play ice hockey for an hour. Karl Fictorie, Roses cousin gave us a tour of the campus. We slept in the dorms and it was wonderful to sleep in a real bed.
I heard about the Cadet camporee evacuation and it broke my heart to here that. I know how much preparation went into it. If it was not for the seatosea bike tour I would have been at the camp.
The weather has cooled down since the hot days of Nebraska and western Iowa.
In the next couple of weeks the food staff will have breaks as some of the meals will be provided by local churches. It will be tricky for those who are buying the food because they are not sure about all the details but I am sure they will enjoy the break.
Tonight we are going to be billetted by a family in this area so I will not have to set up the tent.
They are also calling for a possibility of rain tonight
One of the memories I will have of this tour is all the great people I have met and got to know during this tour and the friendships that have been made.
Until next time God bless
Steve & Rose

Hi Steve & Rose,
Della and I arrived back home on August 13th and I went to work today.
It was a real treat meeting up with you in York, Nebraska while on our road trip. Had a nasty thunderstorm while driving through Chicago.
Hope you are still having fun after so many stops and many more to go.
Keep on posting!
